Boost Brainpower
What is float therapy? How can it boost your brainpower, reduce stress, decrease pain, and improve your physical and mental health?
Not only is it a scientifically proven self-care technique, but it is also the newest biohack and health trend. In this video, Karolina Stojanovic, Doctor of Pharmacy and owner of Freeze & Float Spa, explains the benefits of floatation therapy on one’s mind and body and discusses its major advantages.

“We are on a regular basis continuously affected by stimuli from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to bed,” Karolina Stojanovic tells Lufian. “Our brain is constantly in the go-go-go mode. So, float therapy allows your body for 60 minutes to reduce those stimuli, reduce your amygdala and allow your body to go to reparative mode.”

You will discover:

  • Floating can increase cognitive function;
  • It reduces stress and anxiety, as well as improving your sleep;
  • It is proven to improve concentration, creativity, attention and reduce fatigue and depression and much more;
  • What to expect in the tank (and out), how to use it effectively for the greatest benefit physically and mentally;
  • Is floating more effective than meditation?

The benefits of float therapy make it a widely used therapy that has continued to grow in popularity. Like meditation, it does not involve any outside factors like time or gravity. By fully immersing in a body-temperature saline solution (slightly denser than seawater), your brain simply shuts down all non-essential functions like hunger and pain, allowing an opportunity for healing. It’s a great way to help cope with stress, anxiety or sleeplessness and has been known to strengthen the immune system, improve blood circulation and even heal wounds.

Karolina’s background as a Doctor of Pharmacy prepares her to help people deal with life’s challenges. As a former healthcare professional with 15 years of experience, she’s integrating floatation and alternative therapies into mainstream practices at Freeze & Float Spa in Chicago.  With her holistic approach to wellness, floating has become an important method for relaxing, resetting, and feeling energized to tackle all the challenges she faces on a daily basis. The Pharmacist turned entrepreneur views the therapies offered by Freeze & Float Spa more as essential for maintaining a balance between body, mind, and spirit.

If you are looking for a technique that will make you feel relaxed, relieve stress and give your body a chance to heal itself, float therapy is about as good as it gets. It’s one of the most effective ways to scale back on stress and bring yourself into an optimal state of health. The sooner you try it, the sooner you will be on your path toward a better mind and body.

Everyone is aware of Julius Caesar, but how well do you really know the famous Roman general? The most famous leaders from history are also well-known for their failures. As a result, these lessons are incredibly important to learn, as they can mold your life and help you make sure that you’re not repeating what happened with Caesar. He was ambitious to a fault while being a masterful strategist, which led to his downfall after he was betrayed by one of his closest friends.
We’ve compiled a list of the 37 greatest things to learn from Julius Caesar:

1) Know your strengths and weaknesses.

2) Never underestimate the power of fear; conquer it through patience and fortitude.

3) Acknowledge people’s strengths and seize opportunities to learn from them.

4) Know when to retreat: sometimes it’s better to run than fight.

5) Rely on the advice of others who are in a higher position than you.

6) Work through difficult circumstances, but never lose your perseverance.

7) Define your objectives clearly; having a clear goal is essential for victory.

8) Use uncertainty as an opportunity to seize power and make quick moves.

9) Be willing to fight against the opinions of others; be decisive when implementing change.

10) Never listen to what others are saying; instead, focus on your own observations.

I would rather be first in a little Iberian village than second in Rome.

11) Have a clear vision of where you want to go and how you’re going to get there.

12) Plan carefully before acting.

13) Once the time is right, act decisively and forcefully.

14) Don’t let people pull you in a direction that you don’t feel is right for you; follow your instincts.

15) Don’t be easily intimidated by anyone else, no matter how famous they are or how many followers they have.

16) Don’t be afraid of making mistakes or taking risks; you can never know everything.

17) Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it, even from people that you know won’t agree with you.

18) It’s OK to take charge if no one else will do it.

19) Use your position and authority to help the people around you succeed, even if it means investing in their future yourself.

20) Learn to forgive if someone has wronged you in the past, even when it would seem logical for revenge.

21) Show your strength and power by being decisive and trusting in your own judgment.

22) Stand up for what you believe.

23) Always raise your voice in agreement with ideas that are important to you.

24) Choose wisely: don’t commit yourself to things that are not in your best interest.

25) Always think before reacting: don’t be tempted to act on impulse.

26) Be willing to take a risk if the potential reward outweighs the possibility of failure.

27) Don’t drink too much, which will cloud your judgment and lower your ability to make decisions that matter.

28) Never stop learning; it will improve every aspect of your life.

29) Never underestimate the power of persuasion.

30) Don’t pick fights with people that are stronger than you.

I came, I saw, I conquered.

Caesar's wife must be above suspicion.

31) Seek allies wherever you can find them; they can make a big difference in a fight against something much bigger than you.

32) Be optimistic and believe in yourself; an “us vs. them” mentality does nothing but gives you a short-term boost, only to eventually drain any energy that it gave at a later time.

33) Be grateful for your life, your friends and family, and what you have, even though sometimes circumstances may not be easy.

34) Be careful of what you say in public because it can come back to hurt you.

35) Make decisions only when you are sure that they are the right ones for you, without second-guessing yourself.

36) Always make a good first impression; people will see through your façade if they know that it’s fake.

37) Know when to take a step back and have patience with others, especially when they don’t deserve it.

Julius Caesar is known for being one of the greatest military leaders and politicians that Rome has ever seen. He came from humble beginnings, but worked hard to lift himself up and fight for his country so that they could all move forward together. However, he was eventually betrayed by those closest to him, which led to his downfall. Over two thousand years later, we can still learn many things from Caesar because his struggles were very human in nature, even though he may not have been exactly as we imagine him to be in our imaginations.
Boost Brainpower

There are many different apps and websites that promise to make you smarter, but they have a lot of limitations. Sometimes they are way too time-consuming, sometimes the content is not challenging enough and sometimes they try to sell you something at the end. Here are five free apps that will actually help you improve your brainpower without making any sort of investment in your pocket or in your time.

You know how you’ve heard about a certain theory that says there is a “critical period” in the first two decades of our lives when we are more receptive to learning? It’s true, but you can still benefit from playing video games for 30 minutes every day at any age. Lumosity is an app that makes it easier for you to do this. You can play almost any game you want without losing your concentration or getting bored. You can also keep track of your progress and watch videos on how to become smarter.

No one can force themselves to study or learn new things without rewarding themselves for their achievements. This is what this app does: it helps you keep track of all your activities and rewards you with points and rewards for your behavior. You can then use the points to buy new clothes, books, or even board games if you want them. The best thing about this app is that it keeps track of everything for you and reminds you when a certain task must be completed by.

“The best way to know the road ahead is to know where you have been.” This quote by Richard Nixon describes the idea behind this app. It’s a bit like a teacher that will help you study for your exams and learn about anatomy in all its glory. The best thing about it is that it also works offline, so no matter where you are, you can train your brain (as well as your eyes).

This app is basically an exam itself. It tests your intelligence and shows you how well you are functioning in various cognitive functions. It’s of great help for those who want to improve their weaknesses. This is a must-have app for anyone who wants to get more out of their own brain.

This one is simply the best thing I’ve seen so far on all of my travels across the internet. It’s an app that teaches you about the most important things in life, like how to play guitar, doodle or draw a portrait of someone. It works better than an actual teacher in the sense that it’s virtual and absolutely free. One could even say that it is more efficient than a real-life tutor or teacher.

Does your smartphone have a game app yet? If not, these five apps will help you study smarter and enhance your mental strength. Go ahead and download them before anyone else gets their hands on them!

*It is not recommended to play games while driving or doing any other type of activity that requires full concentration, as the brain will be distracted and may result in accidents. All information provided herein is for educational purposes only. Please consult a medical practitioner.

Lifestyle & Success

Summer 2021 is just around the corner and it’s time to finish up your bucket list of activities that you won’t regret later in life. It doesn’t take much to put together a bucket list, but it takes a lot more time to make sure you don’t miss out on any once-in-a-lifetime experiences! Here are a few incredible summer bucket lists you should definitely consider for this year.

1. Sleep under the stars

Photo by KEHN HERMANO from Pexels

If you’ve never slept under the stars, you’ve only seen a fraction of what the sky has to offer. So next time you’re planning a trip, we recommend bringing a blanket and looking up at the night sky. When was the last time you did this? There’s plenty of peace and quiet in nature, sure – but when you sleep under the stars? It’s like nothing else. Just make sure to find a safe place and an open mind!

2. Spend 24 hours in an abandoned prison with your friends

Photo by Maël BALLAND from Pexels

Why? You’ll never be in a jail cell again. This is an epic way to spend the night without fear of getting arrested when you double-park your car at Starbucks.  The experience is also a great way to bond with friends and get over never wanting to go back to jail after a traumatic experience (like our staff writer, who wrote this article).

3. Go on a treasure hunt spree with your closest friends and family

Photo by Gary Barnes from Pexels

Why? Treasure hunts can be fun and exciting, but they also teach valuable lessons about responsibility, independence, and how to work well as a team. Plus you’ll have way more fun being part of the hunt rather than just giving up if your team loses. You can also do treasure hunts in different locations with friends who aren’t close by so you have an international experience right in your city or town.

Where? You could start anywhere with a treasure hunt; but most people like to begin on the beach. If you live by the ocean, there are tons of places to start digging for treasure! Just search online for other treasure hunt locations around the globe.

4. Fly to Antarctica

Why? Antarctica is a place people rarely get to see in their lifetime and it offers a thrill of a lifetime. It’s one of the most fascinating places on earth so if you’re looking for the trip of a lifetime, start saving your pennies now. Plus, there are no cell phones, internet, or any other communication that could possibly derail your experience.

5. See The Northern Lights

So cold? Burned out on camping under the stars? But still want to see something spectacular? You can’t really go wrong by heading for Norway – where is home to some of the most breathtaking sights on this planet! From Iceland to Alaska, it’s not hard to find your perfect destination, no matter what time of year you’re planning your trip! We’re so excited about this one: it’s now easier than ever!

6. Travel via an aerial tramway

Photo by Ricardo Esquivel from Pexels

If you’ve ever dreamed of taking in a gorgeous view while soaring through the air, then this is perfect for you. Our recommendation? Head to Switzerland – since it’s home to the world’s only aerial tramway. We promise you’ll be hooked!

7. Spend a week at an exotic island condominium with 8 of your closest friends

Why? It’s like having your own tropical vacation right at your fingertips. There’s no better way to spend time than relaxing and unwinding with the people that you love.

8. Go on a drive-in movie date in your car

Photo by Roberto Nickson from Pexels

Why? Because these are the last of their kind. Plus, it’s fun to try the impossible. We’re not talking about a date with your parents, but a real drive-in movie date like in the good old days.

9. Go on a road trip with your best pal without any plans or been online for 24 hours straight

Why? Road trip adventures are a great way to bring people together and build close friendships on the go. You just have to plan ahead and pack lightly enough so you don’t have to stop along the way.

Where? This can be done anywhere! The closest state that allows you to legally drive straight through is New Jersey, followed by Michigan.

10. Ride an elephant for a whole day and learn about their culture

This is one of the most incredible bucket list ideas. These giant creatures are mostly found in Africa and Asia, but there are a few special places in North America where you can go and spend a day with them. They’re incredibly intelligent animals and will try to communicate with you if you try hard enough. They’re also really cool to ride, very comfortable and built for traveling over long distances. Plus, it’s definitely something every person should experience at least once.

If you’re a bucket list fanatic like me, then I’m sure you won’t regret adding these activities to your life! There are tons of incredible things to do in the summer that will have you buzzing for months afterward.

When we’re troubled, life can offer us a lot of pain. But there are movies that help us feel better about it. Whether you’re looking to improve your mood, decide what career path to take, or just want something positive on for background noise, these inspirational movies will always make you feel better and will show you that no matter what happens in life you can always find strength in another person’s story.

1. Big Fish

The movie tells the story of Ewan McGregor, who plays Edward Bloom, a dying man with an interesting tale about how he made it from a small town in North Carolina all the way up to become the head writer for “Saturday Night Live”. He’s honest, witty and generally one of life’s good guys. Just when our protagonist has finally everything he wanted – a loving family and an enormous fortune – tragedy strikes and everything changes.

He finds himself on his deathbed again with only his brother Chip (played by Albert Finney) remaining from his former life. This is a beautiful and touching movie. The story is about the value of life and the importance of listening to our hearts. It’s a great movie for anyone who has ever struggled with making mistakes, being forced to make decisions or selling out their dreams because the world around them was spinning faster than they could keep up with.

2. Drugstore Cowboy

Robert Rodriguez, known for his involvement in “Desperado”, “El Mariachi”, “Sin City” and many more, directed this wonderful film based on Richard La Plante’s novel about an LA based drug addict who sells his body to support his habit by trading sex for drugs on the streets of LA. It’s filled with romance, drama and heartbreak.

But above all it’s about living life on your own terms. It’s a brilliant movie.

3. The Piano

Based on Daniel Keyes’s novel, this great movie follows a young deaf girl called Sephy who is struck deaf in childhood by an illness her mother refuses to name. It is only after her mother dies that she learns what caused her illness, and when she goes to find a new home for her and her father, the people they meet are not very kind, despite their kindness towards the rest of us.

This is a moving movie about family and the bonds that hold us together.

4. The Shawshank Redemption

Tim Robbins stars in this, one of the most famous drams ever. He plays Andy Dufresne, a man who is wrongly accused of murdering his wife and her lover, and imprisoned on murder charges for 39 years to life at “Shawshank Prison”. While incarcerated, he meets many other prisoners who are just as wrongfully imprisoned as him.

The film is set during the Great Depression in 1935. It’s also based on a Stephen King story so it’s like the best kind of movie you could ever want to see.

5. The Big Lebowski

Based on the book “Fargo”, this great movie follows a man called Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski, who is mistaken for another Jeffrey Lebowski in his home town. He is kidnapped by violent criminals after his rug is mistaken for a very expensive oriental rug and we get to watch this whole hilariously confusing story unfold. What makes this movie so good is the way it captures the boundless irrationality of life and how no matter your situation there are always people around you that care about you and will help you.

All of these factors add up to make it one of the most compelling movies ever made.

Travel
There are many reasons to head off the beaten path. Whether you’re looking for adventure, somewhere to unwind, or just don’t want the experience of traveling with a packed group of people you don’t know, these destinations have something special waiting for you: peace and tranquility.
Here are the top five travel destinations to visit this summer for unvaccinated people.

1. Bali

Bali offers world-class scuba diving along with an extensive network of pristine coral reefs. It is considered the most important destination for reef ecology in Indonesia, with a world-class coral nursery area for fish and other marine life. It also hosts an extensive network of world-class beaches.

Bali is a popular travel destination for many and offers many things to do. It has a large number of excellent restaurants serving Western, Thai, Chinese and Indonesian dishes.

The island is warm during the months of July and August; you can expect the daytime temperatures to be around 23 degrees Celsius (73F) in the low area and in the thigh region, you will find temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius (86 F). As for water activities, Bali has many interesting dive sites that range from aquatic currents to rare deep-sea coral.

2. Australia

Australia is one of those countries with endless possibilities when it comes to holiday destinations as it has something for everybody. If you want to go on a safari adventure, you can choose from several different parks including Girraween National Park or Eurimbula National Park. If you want to enjoy the beach life, you can choose from a range of sandy beaches on the east coast, from Byron Bay to Fraser Island. If you’re looking for luxurious holidays, Sydney offers exclusive resorts in Bondi Beach. If you’re looking for excitement and thrills, several tourist attractions offer bungee jumping in Cairns or paragliding on Fraser Island.

Australians have a very laid-back attitude toward life which goes perfectly with their relaxed way of living. It is a mentality that is normal here and that is why it has become such a popular tourist destination. Australians are very good at playing sport or doing anything outdoors and this goes on for all ages, which means there is something for everybody to enjoy.

3. Iceland

Photo by Benjamin Suter from Pexels

Iceland is an island in the North Atlantic Ocean and often referred to as an adventurer’s paradise. The island has a population of about 320,000 people, which makes it one of the most sparsely populated countries in Europe. Icelanders have a diehard attitude when it comes to adventure and fun; they love demonstrations of physical strength and frequently engage in challenges such as climbing mountains or doing extreme sports.

They also enjoy giving names to things that in the rest of the world would be considered simple natural phenomena. For example, a small waterfall, rather than a small waterfall is called ‘the big króna falls’ and a volcano, rather than a volcano is called ‘the hot pots’.

Iceland offers plenty of adventure opportunities for people who love outdoor activities; whether it is hiking or climbing mountains or swimming in ice-cold water or playing in lava fields.

4. New Zealand

New Zealand is an island country in the south-western Pacific Ocean and a member state of the Commonwealth. The country has a small population and it is home to about 4.5 million people. However, most of the residents live in urban areas that can get overcrowded at times, but there are plenty of countryside regions that offer peace and tranquility.

New Zealand is one of the friendliest countries on earth, according to international surveys; it often ranks at the top in surveys that evaluate how safe tourists feel when visiting a certain country.

New Zealand offers mountains, rainforests and pristine beaches to its visitors. On top of that, New Zealand is the holiday destination of choice in the world.

5. Cuba

Cuba is an island country situated in the Caribbean Sea, just off the southeastern coast of North America; it is south of both Florida and Haiti and north of Jamaica. It was colonized by Spain from 1492 until 1898 when it became a possession of the US as part of a treaty following Spain’s defeat by American warships. Cuba became independent on 20 May 1902 under Spanish colonial rule and gained independence from the United States on 2 January 1959. The country has an area of 1297 km2 (836 sq mi). Its political and economic systems are communist.

Cuba is the most popular Caribbean island for European visitors, many of whom come for the strong culture, vibrant colors and Latin music.

This is a country with a rich history and colorfully dressed local women. It has a lot to offer for those who love to go sightseeing and experience new cultures. All your senses will be stimulated once you get there; you can visit one of Cuba’s 5 UNESCO World Heritage Sites to explore the colonial heritage in Old Havana, or visit Christopher Columbus’s hometown of Baracoa (a must), watch a ballet performance in one of Cuba’s many theatres, or simply enjoy one of the many bars around Havana.

If you are a great fan of adventure and fun, it doesn’t matter where you go. There are so many destinations around the world that will offer you plenty of excitement. The choices listed here are not ranked in any particular order, but they all come with their own unique flavor to offer. What stands out most about them is that people from all over the world go there for a truly memorable time!
Lifestyle & Success
There are those who seem to have a natural knack for life – they smile, they laugh, and they’re genuinely content in all circumstances. It’s hard not to envy them. But beneath that surface layer there lies something so much deeper than anyone else could ever understand. Oftentimes, people who come into contact with them don’t see the burden they bear; a burden of carrying their own personal struggles under the guise of an extrovert. These individuals are extraordinary people – people who learn to live beautifully even when life gets messy and uncomfortable.

So when you look at them, what do you see?

A big smile and a kind word.

An infectious laugh.

Something more than a smile.

The ability to look deeply within yourself and find the beauty that is real, not the one that appears on the surface of your skin.

A quiet assurance that doesn’t come from confidence; it’s an internal certainty that others can’t see because it’s not put on in order to impress them. It’s just who you really are; who you’ve always been in your deepest core.

To be able to achieve the extraordinary, you need to be willing to make this life-changing paradigm shift. You need to change your thinking from a negative and pessimistic way of thinking, so that you can start living an extraordinary life.

There are probably a lot of reasons why you’re not an extraordinary person yet, but no matter what the reason might be, there are a few things that have been proven about being extraordinary.

We have gathered some of the most notable study findings in psychology and discussed what they say about extraordinary people. Learn 10 major differences between ordinary and extraordinary people. Let’s see how much more incredible you can become.

1. Extraordinary People Are More Creative

The world is full of ordinary people, but it’s also full of extraordinary ones. We have all come across the ones who stand out from the crowd and how much more impressive they look compared to their counterparts. A lot of them might seem to be ‘natural born’ or ‘naturally gifted’ but in fact, they have been working hard to achieve what they have become today. They have worked hard at improving themselves so that they can jump over all limitations of normal thinking and behavior.

To be extraordinary, you have to be very creative. You have to break free from the ‘normal’. If you want to be extraordinary, you need a lot of creative thinking. You need to think and act in a way that is not ordinary and not normal. Creative people are the ones who can do this because they know how to use their imagination and creativity in order to excel themselves and achieve success.

Extraordinary people are able to leave an impact on the things that they do because they bring out the creativity in what they do. Whether it’s their dress or their attitude, or even the little things like how they hold a conversation; everything is always interesting about them.

2. Extraordinary People Know That They Are Extraordinary

They have clear goals and expectations with regard to their lives and are never content with the status quo. Ordinary people, on the other hand, feel that it’s someone else’s responsibility to make their lives better.

The ordinary person keeps making the same mistakes over and over again and never seems to catch a break. The extraordinary person learns from their mistakes and does not make the same mistake twice.

Extraordinary people are full of positive energy; energy that makes everyone around them want to be better. Ordinary people carry negative energy around with them and bring everyone else down in the process.

3. Predictable vs. Challenging Life Full of Adventures

Ordinary people have a tendency to live their lives in an average, predictable way. Extraordinary people take risks and enjoy challenging themselves. Ordinary people look down on others who are different from them and extraordinary people don’t see much of a difference at all. Ordinary people get bored often, but extraordinary ones never do. Ordinary ones think they know everything but forget they are still learning, but extraorindaries never stop learning new things about themselves and the world around them.

Extraordinary people aren’t afraid to try something new because they always expect the best outcome possible from any given situation; ordinary ones are afraid of failure and as a result, never reach for their dreams the way they should.

4. Extraordinary People Don’t Let Others Bring Them Down

Extraordinary people don’t let others make them feel bad. They know they need to ignore the negative things other people say or do, which is just a waste of time and energy because the only person they can ever truly change is themselves.

5. Extraordinary People Are Not Afraid To Speak Their Mind And Enjoy Life

Extraordinary people aren’t afraid to speak their minds, even if it is against the crowd or their government/country’s beliefs. They know that the important thing is to always speak their mind, enjoy life and live in the present moment. If you don’t, how are you truly going to enjoy anything?

6. Ordinary People Take Up Too Much Space In Life

Ordinary people are too preoccupied with the irrelevant and unimportant. They take up a lot of time, energy and room for growth.
The extraordinary people know how to use their time wisely and live a zen-like focus on the tasks at hand.
Extraordinary people have a higher capacity for performance than that of an ordinary person; they can accomplish more in less time because they know how to work smart, not just hard.

7. Relationships

Extraordinary people want to make an impact on the lives of others and so do their best to help those around them whenever they can. They have strong personal relationships with others because of their supportive nature and generosity of spirit. Ordinary people have weak relationships with others because they are self-absorbed tunnel-visioned individuals who only care about themselves.

8. Positive Emotions

Extraordinary people keep themselves in high spirits because they know there is always something good happening in the world if you just take the time to notice it. They look at every situation with a positive lens and see possibilities where others would only see problems – an approach that makes it difficult to ever be bored or depressed. Ordinary people are often in a bad mood because they take everything at face value. They don’t seek the silver lining and they’re rarely grateful for what they have, which leads to apathy, jealousy, and envy.

9. Achievement

When extraordinary people who have done extraordinary things take charge, there will never be enough adjectives and superlatives to do them justice. It's one of the few constants in human interaction.

10. Confidence

Extraordinary people never waver in their belief that they can and will accomplish great things. They are not content with being average or mediocre in life – rather, they seek to set new and remarkable standards that everyone else can aspire to. Ordinary people tend to feel like failures and are easily overwhelmed by stress, pressure, or criticism. They have a hard time trusting their own abilities and believing the best of themselves.

The world is full of average and ordinary people who claim to be extraordinary. They have a hard time living up to their own standards and expectations, however. In contrast, extraordinary people are willing to put in some work and dedicate themselves to making the most of their lives with effort, drive, determination and focus.

You can make the choice: Are you going to be an average person or an extraordinary one? It may not be that simple. But before you go ahead and settle for mediocrity in yourself or in your relationships, try getting crystal clear on what you want out of life.

Boost Brainpower

What we see and feel is not a reflection of what is happening around us. What we see from the outside is mostly a product of our brain’s processing and how it perceives certain sensations. There are several ways to trick the brain:

  • A special procedure called after Ganzfeld

It was invented in the 30s of the last century and called the soft sensing isolation technique. To carry out the procedure, tune the radio to interference, lie on the couch and stick the halves of table tennis balls on the eyes with adhesive plaster. After a minute, people begin to hear hallucinations. Someone hears a horse running, others hear that the souls of the dead are talking to them. It is our brain that invents its own emotions since it does not receive them from the outside.

  • Pain relief

To reduce the pain from a wound, you can look at it with binoculars in reverse, that is so that it decreases. Scientists from Oxford have proved that if you look at the wounded arm through the other end of the binoculars, it will decrease in size, which means that the pain will be less. This proves the connection between the sensations of pain and vision.

  • The Pinocchio illusion

Take 2 chairs and a blindfold. The subject is blindfolded and sits in the back seat with a glance at the other person in front. A blindfolded person can reach out and put it on the nose in front of the seated person. With his other hand, he touches his nose and rubs it. In a minute, more than half of the people claim that their nose has lengthened.

  • Deception of thinking

For this experiment, you need to raise your right leg low and start moving it clockwise. Simultaneously with this with the index finger of your right hand, draw a six in the air. Your leg will be unable to do anything and will begin to rotate counterclockwise. This is caused by the work of the left hemisphere of the brain, which is inherent in control of the right half of the body, as well as rhythm and synchronization. Because it does not cope with the work of two movements that contradict each other, it will strive to combine them into one.

  • Deception of hearing

This experiment requires 2 observers and 1 test subject. For the experiment, take headphones that are attached to two tubes on both sides. The subject sits on a chair between the observers, keeping an equal distance from them. The observers begin to speak in turn, each in his tube, and the listener determines the direction of the sound. If you swap the tubes and start talking again, the subject will indicate the wrong direction of the sound.

This is due to auditory localization, which is needed to determine the direction of the sound source by a person. Since the human hearing system has limited capabilities in determining the distance of the sound source, an intersonic difference is obtained in time. If you change the tubes, then the neurons on the opposite side of the brain are involved in the work, and the person will incorrectly determine the source of the sound.

  • The illusion of a rubber hand

This experiment was accidentally discovered by psychologists and proved that a person can consider a rubber hand as their own. Take a rubber hand or rubber glove and inflate it. You will also need a piece of cardboard and two paintbrushes. Put the rubber hand in front of you and hide yours behind the cardboard. Let the person helping you start brushing the brushes along with the real and the rubber hand at the same time, and after a few minutes, you will feel that the rubber hand also belongs to you. If at the same time your assistant hits the rubber hand, then you may even feel pain and anxiety.7. People under 20 years old can hear sound with a sine wave with a frequency of 18 thousand Hertz. This fact allows teenagers to use this sound as a ringtone on a mobile phone so that only they can hear this sound. This is because with age, a person begins to hear sounds of high frequency worse.

  • Purkinje effect

This is the name of a scientist who is considered the founder of modern neuroscience. As a child, he studied a special kind of hallucination, which was based on the rapid waving of his hands in front of closed eyes, while looking at the sun. After a couple of minutes, he saw figures of different colors, which were changing all the time and becoming more sophisticated.

On this fact, special glasses were created, which could turn on the light at a certain frequency. Due to the stimulation with light, a short circuit appeared in the visual cortex of the brain, and the cells themselves also lit up peculiarly and formed images.
